Kels the yogi welcomed us with diffused essential oils, rhythmic music with deep bass lines, and a beautiful smile. We were instructed to line up in circle. Each woman facing the other. She opened with the most telling introduction that presented Kels the Yogi as Kels the woman, the person vulnerable, accepting and powerful. This put most of us at ease as we did the same sharing. However this workshop was able to get behind the mask that many of us wear with a short set of questions in Sex Stress Survey that were provocative enough for you to really think about what disconnects you from pleasure, your partner, and the moment. From there we were ready for the yoga to physically work through some of our unanswered questions.
I want share all of the positions, but you can join us next time to open up your heart, breathing, focus and pelvic floor. Some called Jesus and other utterances, but we were all in for the challenges. This was a great class for beginners as well. Kels was great at offering adjustments.
When the work was complete, just when we thought it was done… The guided meditation began with words from our very own students on what each women was to walk away with from the days work. Those words were powerful that led us right into an awesome guided meditation in a relaxed position. It was very thorough, healing and empowering from beginning to bringing us back to awareness. POW!
